...where real knowledge-- and actual solutions-- intersect with real Americans!

So, Next Tuesday Is Election Day...
...and few election days have ever been as important as this one.

NEXT TUESDAY IS NOT so important because Republicans can take control of Congress. Republicans have controlled the entirety of the federal government many times and have done precious little-- if anything-- worthwhile or virtuous. Rather, next Tuesday is so important because it is the opportunity for the American people to strip power from the Democrats who have been deliberately destroying this great country and waging steady war against Western Civilization as a whole, to boot.

Necessarily, rescuing America from Democrat sociopaths eating away at her substance under pretended existential threats such as "climate change", "pandemics" and "domestic terrorism" means electing Republicans. In the case of many candidates from that party, this means voting for some pretty odious characters.

After all, Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy are nominal Republicans, and as bad as they both are, each has been found pleasing by so many of their Republican colleagues in office as to have been granted positions of leadership. I can think of few more powerful indicators that the Republican party is hardly that of the angels.

Heck, Lindsey Graham is a Republican. Mitt Romney is a Republican. John McCain was a Republican, along with Dick Cheney, John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, Nikki Haley, and so on and on.

BUT... we've all got to vote Republican. As much as it pains me to say it, voting third party this time around would be madness. Nothing must come before the imperative of halting the rapid erosion of our hard-won speech rights, property rights, and painstakingly-constructed liberty-and-prosperity-nurturing cultural norms by the gibbering nihilists chewing on all of it right now in a frothy fury.

I am a life-long Libertarian, and I have friends running for office this year under that party's mantle. None of them will get my vote this time around. None should get your votes.

This time around, everyone must hold their noses and vote so as to successfully evict the Democrat lunatics from every office possible. As it happens, there is an unusually large cadre of actually-worthwhile Republicans on the ballot this year, so things are not as bad as they could be. But even the crappy ones need to be supported-- this one time-- where they are the only alternative to Democrats.

PUT NO FAITH IN POLLS, of which we have all been hearing much these last few days. Not only are polls unreliable in any event, but they can also be used as weapons to hobble actual turnout, which is all that matters. People who have been led to believe that their side has a lock on success can become a bit relaxed about getting to the polls and helping make it really happen.

At the same time, polls showing one side on the back foot can motivate the adherents of that side to show up in greater numbers than they otherwise might. This year every single person awake to the harm being done to American well-being over the last two years must turn out, no matter how things might seem to be going.

VOTE IN PERSON ON ELECTION DAY, if it's not already too late for you to do that. Be part of a massive physical presence at every polling place. This will help intimidate and discourage anyone considering another campaign of lies about the outcome.

If there are exit pollsters on hand, seek them out and announce your votes.

AND ABOVE ALL, keep your powder dry. As I posted here as long ago as April of 2021:

Complications Of The Ukraine War
by Christopher Caldwell

According to what we hear from the White House and from the television networks, the issues at stake in the Ukraine War are simple. They concern the evil of Vladimir Putin, who woke up one morning and chose, whether out of sadism or insanity, to wreak unspeakable violence on his neighbors. Putin’s actions are described as an “unprovoked invasion” of a noble democracy by a corrupt autocracy. How we ought to respond is assumed to be a no-brainer. The United States has pledged vast quantities of its deadliest weaponry, along with aid that is likely to run into the hundreds of billions of dollars, and has brought large parts of the world economy—particularly in Europe—to a standstill.

Now, whenever people in power tell you something is a no-brainer, there’s a good chance that it’s a brainer. And the Ukraine War is more complicated than we’ve been led to assume.

There are reasons why the U.S. might want to project power into the Black Sea region. But we must not ignore that the politics of the region are extraordinarily complex, that the Ukraine conflict is full of paradoxes and optical illusions, and that the theater we are entering has been, over the past 150 years, the single most violent corner of the planet. And unless we learn to respect the complexity of the situation, we risk turning it into something more dangerous, both for Europeans and for ourselves.

The Authorities Are Our Enemies
by James Howard Kunstler

The people who run things in this country don’t deserve your respect or allegiance. They are at war with you. They want you and your children dead.

Welcome to the New Age, where authority has no authority and does not deserve to act with any authority, but will act as if it does, anyway, and then lie to you about it. Nowhere is this quandary more vivid than in the racketeering operation formerly known as medicine.

As if there has not already been enough official fuckery over the lab-birthed Covid-19 virus, the CDC’s Vaccine Advisory Committee voted on Thursday to add Pfizer’s and Moderna’s mRNA shots to its childhood vaccine schedule. The vote was 15 to 0 — a final supreme gesture of contempt for the people of this land.

Had none of the committee members seen reports of mRNA-vaccinated children dropping dead from myocarditis induced by the vaccines? Or read about the effect of the vaxxes on the reproductive organs? Or the enhanced incidence of cancer? Or heard about the damage that the shots instigate in human immune systems? If not, that would be astounding. The news is all over the place (if not in the mainstream news media). Was any of this discussed in their deliberations? I don’t think so, but we may never know.

Adding the mRNA shots to the official vaccine schedule will make permanent the liability shield their makers enjoy under the current emergency use authorization (EUA). Pfizer and Moderna are now off-the-hook for any responsibility, unless fraud over the vaxxes is proven in a court of law. Given the vast evidence of harms done by these products, will that be a difficult thing to do? Consider: cases for fraud can be brought in any jurisdiction of the USA, not just in the notoriously corrupt DC federal district court, which does not recognize crime for what it is (crime).

Illuminating Anniversaries For This Week!

*****

"I confidently trust that the American people will prove themselves...too wise not to detect the false pride or the dangerous ambitions or the selfish schemes which so often hide themselves under that deceptive cry of mock patriotism: 'Our country, right or wrong!' They will not fail to recognize that our dignity, our free institutions and the peace and welfare of this and coming generations of Americans will be secure only as we cling to the watchword of true patriotism: 'Our country--when right to be kept right; when wrong to be put right.'"
-Senator Carl Schurz, October 17, 1899
