A Fire-Lighting Project For The CtC CommunityI HAD A NOTION POP INTO MY HEAD while preparing for the Dallas seminar that I think might be productive of some good results. I'd love it if everyone would take this up and run with it, and we'll see what happens.
Here's the thing:
CtC offers the knowledge by which those afflicted by the misapplication of the income tax can become free of that burden, with huge "positive" benefits, of course. We all tend to focus on that positive side of the equation (i.e., getting back property, or keeping it in the first place, and upholding the rule of law) when engaged in our outreach efforts. All-in-all, I think that's best.
BUT THERE'S ANOTHER SIDE to the equation. That is the fact that NOT being free of the misapplication of the tax generates moral and political ensnarement in things very disturbing to many people. To a lot of folks, being freed from those ugly linkages can be more motivating than even the prospect of recovering their own wealth and the power that goes with it.
Plus, addressing those linkages directly can be a much simpler and more effective way of expressing to some folks what the affliction of the "ignorance tax" really means, and what being free of it really means, than trying to do so in other ways. Each student has his or her own way of learning, and good teaching requires flexibility and creativity in recognition of that fact.
SO, BEGINNING LAST WEEK I began experimenting with this "negative benefits" motif, in a short series of tweets. Here is the content of those tweets, which I think will suffice to explain the rest of the concept:
"Ever had to pass on the best school for your kid because you just couldn't afford it? Blame the corrupt officials exposed at
http://losthorizons.com/TaxFraud.pdf and everyone involved in the suppression discussed at
http://losthorizons.com/Documents/CtCSuppression.htm."
"Have you been forced to settle for less good care for elderly mom or dad because of the cost? Blame the corrupt officials exposed at
http://losthorizons.com/TaxFraud.pdf and every participant in the suppression documented at
http://losthorizons.com/Documents/CtCSuppression.htm."
"Do you cringe at the moral taint of financing the bullets and bombs which make widows and orphans in distant lands that have never attacked America? Blame the corrupt officials exposed at
http://losthorizons.com/TaxFraud.pdf and the truth suppressors exposed at
http://losthorizons.com/Documents/CtCSuppression.htm."
"Ever feel real bad about paying the salaries of the people at the NSA who violate your privacy rights 24/7? Blame the liars exposed at
http://losthorizons.com/TaxFraud.pdf and those involved in suppressing that exposure, as documented at
http://losthorizons.com/Documents/CtCSuppression.htm."
"Do you resent having to pay the salaries of all the partisan hacks flogging the "Russiagate" nonsense? Blame the liars exposed at
http://losthorizons.com/TaxFraud.pdf and those involved in suppressing that exposure, as documented at
http://losthorizons.com/Documents/CtCSuppression.htm."
"Do you hate having to pay for a wall across the southern border? Or do you hate paying for services to illegal aliens who slipped across the undefended border? Blame the liars exposed at
http://losthorizons.com/TaxFraud.pdf and the truth-suppressors exposed at
http://losthorizons.com/Documents/CtCSuppression.htm."
OKAY, SO I THINK THE CONCEPT should be clear, now. Here's the thing-- there are likely hundreds of subjects suited for this kind of messaging, and again, many people respond better to what we might call a cessation of pain than the promise of pleasure.
Accordingly, I'm inviting everyone to participate in a project of crafting appropriate tweet-sized posts along the lines of those above, addressing every concern, gripe and hot-button currently roiling any segment of the population, big or small. Tweet them, if you use Twitter; post on Facebook, if that's your thing; GAB them; post in newsgroups and chatrooms.
More-- and really important-- share them with the CtC community directly by posting them as "replies" in this thread, so they can be picked up and used by everyone else into their own venues and contact groups, whether on any or all of the platforms listed above, or others.
(If you're not yet a member of the National Forum,
click here to learn how to become one. In the meantime, send your shots to me for sharing-- along with links to where you have posted them so others can boost them.)
GRASSFIRE, people! Let's make it all happen THIS YEAR!!
BTW, you can find the tweets I sampled above, and show them a little retweet and share love,
